Sammy Komen Mwaita is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Baringo Central Constituency after defeating the incumbent Gideon Moi (the son of the former President Moi) in the National Assembly of Kenya since the Kenyan parliamentary election, 2007.[1] Prior to entering politics, he served as the Commissioner of Lands in Kenya. He has recently been named by the Prime Minister as one of the people who were allocated land in the Mau forest.[2]
He is married to Diana Mwaita and they have four children, namely Kenneth Kipruto, Valentine Kipchumba, Dennis Kiprono and Barnies Jebiwot.
